HUD owned foreclosure properties can be amazing deals. They can be located anywhere in Tucson and come in all different types and conditions.
HUD homes are properties that are owned by the Federal Government's Department of Housing and Urban Development. 
When people who bought a home with an FHA loan and lose it to foreclosure, the home often ends up being owned by HUD and resold to reimburse the federal government.
Tucson has a small pool of HUD homes available in Tucson, they come in all styles and conditions and can be anywhere in Tucson.
HUD homes are sold through auction style bidding. When a home first comes on the market, it is reserved for bidding by owner occupant and non-profit purchasers. If the home doesn't sell after the first 10 days, all buyers, including investors, are eligible to submit bids.
Because the purchasing process for HUD homes is quite different from other home purchases, you must use a real estate agent who is registered with HUD and is familiar with the contract and process.
